Gothic Mountain in the Crested Butte backcountry is a majestic mountain, rising sharply out of the Upper East River valley. On this particular trip, we got snowed out on a camping trip but made the most of it because after all "bad weather makes for great photos". I love the tonality of this picture, the burst of gold in the aspen trees against a mostly monochromatic scene.
