One of the main reasons that I love photography is it gives me great joy to capture great moments in life. In addition to professional landscape photography, I also provide photography services for weddings both near and far. Seeing the beautiful union of a man and woman coming together and being able to capture the memories of this exciting and monumental day is both humbling and joyous to me.

I remember my first wedding I ever shot in Gunnison, Colorado during the winter, it was so very cold outside. The bride had insisted on taking outdoor photos and I went over to the Gunnison River and shoveled snow for 20 minutes so she wouldn't have to walk through the deep snowpack. I was so nervous I don't even remember giving tips for poses, but thankfully the whole family was gracious and patient and everything turned out better than I could have hoped for. Since that wedding, I have photographed over 40 weddings and continue to learn and grow as a wedding photographer. I have made some great friends through wedding photography, and I have learned how to better capture the special atmosphere of a wedding better through practice and advice from other wedding photographers.

The most rewarding aspect of being a wedding photographer is that I get to help provide memories of an incredibly special day. I could write a book about all the stories I have from the weddings I have shot, from shooting a winter mountain wedding where the temperature was below zero and the bride insisted we do outside photos to getting to shoot a wedding in an art gallery that featured colorful chandeliers by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly.
